Tony Ryan
Executive Chair
Tony Ryan is Executive Chair of Trilogy Hotels, Australia’s fastest-growing independent white-label hotel management company. With more than 35 years of commercial, legal, and hospitality advisory experience, Tony co-founded Trilogy Hotels in 2023 alongside CEO Scott Boyes and COO Grant Alchin.
Tony’s career spans senior advisory roles across Asia Pacific and Europe, including serving as Global Head of M&A at JLL from 2015, based across Singapore and London. In this capacity, he advised on some of the largest hotel transactions in the region, including Accor’s US$940 million acquisition of the Mantra Group, one of the most significant hotel deals in Australian history.
Prior to Trilogy Hotels, Tony operated Ryan Capital Partners, an independent advisory company offering M&A, restructuring, and capital-raising services for hotels, mixed-use, and other operational real estate. Tony also founded Australia’s first integrated tourism and hospitality practice as a Partner at Blake Dawson Waldron (now Ashurst) from 1985 to 2004, before starting his own firm Ryan Lawyers based in Sydney and Singapore.
He is an active member of the International Society of Hospitality Consultants (ISHC) and a graduate of the Cornell University Advanced Management Program. Tony holds a Law degree from the University of Sydney.
